Dr. Arun Padmanabhan is a cardiologist who cares for adults with a variety of heart disorders. He also provides preventive care.
Padmanabhan's research focuses on understanding early heart development and heart failure pathogenesis (how a disease develops) by investigating the gene-regulatory pathways involved in these processes.
Padmanabhan earned his medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed a doctoral degree in cell and developmental biology through the medical scientist training program. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at UCSF.
