About me
Dr. Matthew Tenold is a specialist in the care of patients with cancers and blood diseases. His firsthand experience in being treated for and cured of lymphoma sparked his desire for a career in medicine and his enduring passion for providing care throughout each patient's cancer journey.
Tenold's research has focused on acute leukemia and renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer).
Tenold earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College. At the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology, serving as chief fellow.
Outside of work, Tenold loves spending time with his wife, a pediatrician, and son. He also enjoys playing guitar, snowboarding, reading science fiction, working on his rebuilt 1968 Camaro and custom-built electric scooter, and trying to become a better pizza chef.
